I have two children that I am treating right now that have MTA and in-toeing. When I fit them with AFOs for global balance with a medial boarder to prevent the MTA, the in-toeing appears to have increased or worsened. When the children are removed from the braces the appearance looks better. I have tried to examine their hips for anteversion, but I know that it is not good to xray children of this age (3 years old and 7 years old.) any thoughts?
