Dear colleagues,

Is anyone attempting to get a new code for the wonderful propulsive, or
dynamic carbon leaf spring struts we now have. Excluding the barely
functional lightweight versions like the Ossur lite, the new pre-preg
layups that provide true energy return on toe off are in a class by
themselves and should have their own coding, just as the and energy
returning feet in prosthetics do.

I'm no expert at this, but it seems that companies that do a good job at
making these should also be able to test their strength and spring
qualities to justify added reimbursement at some threshold of energy return
and proof of durability. As with Cranial Molding Helmets, could successful
companies be licensed?

Adding questionable features to offset cost, should not be necessary.
