Hello everyone,
I have a patient who just received a grant from The Challenged Athletes
Foundation (CAF) to receive some componentry for fabrication of a new sports
prosthesis to be used for running and biking. The knee that was granted to
him was a Total Knee 2100. Has anyone had any experience with high level
athletes using this knee for a running prosthesis? My past experiences with
other athletes have been limited to knees that are much less stabilized in
stance phase that have incorporated swing phase only hydraulic controls.
I appreciate any feedback so that we can maximize this patients performance.
