Hello to all:
I wish to inform you about the International Orthopedic Rehabilitation Organization for Isolated disabled people (IORO) - an organization which was founded in 2007 by me (Alvin B. Thomas). The IORO also begun operations in Liberia in 2007.
As a native of Liberia, residing in Minnesota, I saw the need to establish the IORO to serve the needs of the isolated disabled Liberians and those in neighboring countries that have been affected by wars and diseases.
The objectives of the International Orthopedic Rehabilitation Organization for Isolated Disabled People (IORO) is to help people with physical disability improve their quality of life by providing or arranging the provision of needed devices that will make it possible to be ambulatory, thereby gaining a level of independence and dignity. IORO for Isolated Disabled People will seek to serve less fortunate disabled with compassion and restore hope and confidence, but with respect for their natural human dignity.
IORO for Isolated Disabled People will seek to provide services to all isolated disabled persons without consideration to national origin or color, but for short term goal, IORO for Isolated Disabled People will focus on assisting isolated disabled persons in Liberia, West Africa - a country that was devastated by a brutal civil war. As part of our long-term service goal, IORO will also exert efforts in initiating the provision of services in other countries such as Ivory Coast and Sierra Leone after services have begun in Liberia.
In 2007, The IORO for Isolated Disabled People was incorporated in the State of Minnesota, U.S.A. as a non-profit Organization. It also holds a tax exempt status under the USA Internal Revenue Code 501 (c) (3). Please note that all donations to IORO are tax deductible.
