Hello List,

I am curious about the number of Pectus Carinatum cases being handled
with an orthosis.

How many are you seeing in your clinics, what is the latest in brace
designs, what are the suggested exercises to perform in the orthosis,
what are the success rates (and what is considered success), and how is
the billing being done? I believe it is still an L-1499 code, how much
are you billing insurance companies versus how much are insurance
companies paying?

Is the treatment generally done along with a physical therapy program
that is modified over time?

I have seen very little in the literature in regards to the mechanics
and design of a PC orthosis, any information would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
