Dear List:
Our dear friend and retired Director of Orthotics at Northwestern
University’s Prosthetic & Orthotic Center, Jim Russ, CO(e) is currently
hospitalized while recovering from surgery to repair a broken hip. Jim fell
and broke his hip on Wednesday, August 1 and had surgery on Friday. Jim is
not able to take phone calls yet so the name of the hospital is not being
released at this time in order to allow him plenty of time to rest.
However, Jim and his family welcome any get well cards that anyone would
like to send. Get well cards may be sent to Jim’s house. That address is
446 Sunset Boulevard – Winnetka, IL 60093. The family will deliver these
promptly to Jim.
Please keep Jim in your thoughts and prayers during his recovery period. As
many of you know, Jim has been very active on the phone talking with many of
his former students since his retirement. He has been an active warrior for
professionalism within the O & P community for many years and would be
delighted to receive get well wishes. Should you desire any additional
