List members,
I am hoping to get some feedback from anyone who has had experience fitting amputees with Buergers Disease. I presently have a 54 y/o bilateral B/K (secondary to B.D.) who is otherwise healthy and very active without prosthetics. The clinic has prescribed silicone gel locking liners with a distal silicone cup (due to conical distal end). I expect him to be very active and aggresive. I am concerned about potential circulatory compromise using this suspension/liner combination. Any insight and information based on experience would be appreciated.
