To all:
I will complete my Master’s degree in Biomechanical
Engineering from Drexel University in September and am
looking for a career in the O&P industry. I have
always wanted to work in the research, design, and
manufacturing of orthotics and/or prosthetics. My
experiences include:
· Volunteered in the Orthotics and Prosthetics
Laboratory at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children;
· Interned at Langer Biomechanics Group, a custom
orthotics manufacturer;
· Researched to develop new materials for use in the
orthotics and prosthetics industry;
· Currently researching in a gait analysis laboratory
at Temple University.
In addition to my Master’s degree, I received a
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas
A&M University. Through both of these degrees, I have
taken relevant courses that have prepared me for the
design and development of orthotics and prosthetics.
I look forward to hearing from you about any career
opportunities. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Laura Bray
