Thanks to all who replied. I did receive the details and materials
specifics I was looking for and reassurance that this is still a viable
treatment. In fact, those who commented on the differences in rigid burn
mask vs compression garment outcomes felt that the rigid mask is far more
effective. Makes me wonder why compression garment use is so much more
prevalent? Perhaps a matter of fabrication equipment / facility
availability to those most commonly providing theses services.
Specifically, how many OTs or compression garment fitters have direct
access to vacuum forming technology?

Any comments?

Wondering if anyone recalls any studies, papers, etc. comparing outcomes
for these two approaches to burn management where the potential for
bridging of the elastic compression garments over irregular contours,
etc.?
