Dear List Members:
I've been asked to provide molds of a child's hands. I've taken alginate
impressions, and filled them with plaster for the positive mold. Is
there any way to make the plaster more durable, such as a coating or
protective layer? I've considered using an acrylic spray on the
plaster. Is there another material that will be more durable than
plaster? I'm assuming that any resin material will bubble during set up
and most likely look worse than the plaster molds. Any ideas?
