HI, Andrew
We use Becker`s device named leaver release, that you can apply on the automatic knee joints (model 1003) to get the result you are looking for.

Subject: [OANDP-L] (OANDP-L) ORTHOTIC KNEE JOINTS
Hi everyone,
can anyone tell me if there are KAFO knee joints available that you pull a cable or like to unlock and they remain unlocked untill you pull the cable again?(and so on and so on)
A post-polio sufferer wants them like this so she can sit at work and get up and take two steps then return to her seat without having to fiddle with the locks and then later in the day if she is fatigued then she can choose to use the joints locked.
Thanking you in advance
