Dear O&P Listserve Members:
In response to numerous requests, DePuy AcroMed will conduct a Halo Application Workshop at the upcoming CEC Meeting in Las Vegas. This all-day workshop, scheduled to be held Friday, November 3, will be taught by orthotic professionals experienced with the ins and outs of halo applications. It will generate seven CMEs for attendees. In addition to focusing on halo applications, the workshop will focus on topics such as:
*Anatomy of the Cervical Spine
*Pathology and Indications for Halo Usage
*History,Biomechanics, and Evolution of Halo Design
*Biomechanics of Different Skull Pin Designs
*Patient Complications and Suggested Treatments
These subjects will be reviewed during the morning session. After lunch, the majority of the afternoon session will be devoted to a hands-on halo application, where attendees will break into small groups and apply halos to several members of each group (using blunted pins, of course!). This course will be useful and pertinent to users of any halo system. Because attendance for this workshop is limited, we encourage interested parties to enroll now through the Academy; you may contact Diane or Sam at (703) 836-7116 to sign up for this course, or visit them online at < < <URL Redacted>>>.. If you have any questions, please contact Peter Neilson either by email or at (407) 810-6803. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for your attention to this announcement.
