Dear Colleagues,
It's that time again. My personal reformatted 2018 CMS L code file is now available on our website. To receive your free copy, go to www.BlueDOrtho.com< <URL Redacted> >, hover over the Resources tab, select Request PDAC L-Code File, submit the form, and the link will be emailed to you automatically.
For years I have reformatted CMS's Excel L code file for my personal use, then made it available to O&P colleagues who might find it useful. This year, as last year, Blue Diamond Orthopedic's VP of Operations, Donavan Lima, shared this task with me.
Keep in mind, this is public information available from CMS. It's just reformatted for my preferences. I offer it for free. I charge nothing and I accept no liability, but I request that you alert me if you find errors. The current file contains information effective January 1, 2018. It will remain on the BDO website and until a newer file replaces it.
FYI, here's how we reformatted the file:
* We eliminated all but L codes.
* We deleted cells not containing information useful to us.
* We added an average-allowable column.
* We inserted a long-description column to the far right.
* We made all columns sortable.
* We cleaned up and added some color.
I hope your Christmas was merry and your New Year happy!
Regards,
David Hendricks, CPO
