Hello everyone,

After many years of clinical practice and teaching, I have decided to pursue my terminal degree in education. Currently, I have completed my first three chapters of the dissertation process and my topic is, “Bullying, mobbing, and harassment in orthotics and prosthetics”. It is a topic that I am passionate about for several reasons and one that I hope to bring awareness to the industry along with possible solutions. I have seen too many quality people (former students) leave the industry and have long term effects due to this behavior. So, I am asking for your help.

My ask of the orthotics and prosthetics audience is to complete the survey I have posted to the listserv. This validated Negative Acts Questionnaire- Revised (NAQ-R) survey that was developed by Stale Einersen of Norway, has been used by various researchers around the world over the past ten years, and used as a baseline to build further research. The first three questions are for descriptive data purposes and maybe used for future correlations with the NAQ-R.

I would like to compare the results to other allied health professions and hopefully build further research based on the results. The survey is only five questions and should not require much time however it pertains to the last six months of work environment. If encounters happened earlier in your career, there is a comment section if you would like to share a description of the experience. ALL comment responses will be kept confidential.

Thank you in advance and I will post results once I have collected all the data.
