Hi List,

I've had the entrepreneurial bug for too long and am in the planning stages
of opening a practice. I've purchased the guide from OPGA and it is really
helpful, however I have a few things that I'd like to hear your experiences
on. Please answer any questions you have experience with. Any and all
advice is welcome!

Background info: it will be a single practitioner office with one admin and
fab would likely be outsourced at the beginning.

1) how much money did you need to get started?
2) how did you finance your startup?
3) how long did it take to get your Medicare number?
4) what EMR software did you use if any and would you recommend it? Opie,
brighttree, etc.
5) how long did it take to become profitable?
6) do you use a billing company? If so who? Are they good?
7) can any of the billing companies bill Medicare for you before you have
your number?
8) if I use a billing company and EMR software - could I get by without
hiring an admin with O&P experience?
9) do you manage the finances on your own or use an accountant?

Thanks in advance!
