My mother-in-law was recently involved in a motorcycle accident in which she lost her husband of 40 years and her right leg above the knee.
She is being treated in Erie, PA. She was moved to a rehab facility on Friday and has just had her staples removed. She was wearing a helmet and is expected to make a fast and full recovery.
My ex-husband is with her and has asked me to reach out to find her a prosthetist.
While we as her family can do nothing to ease her pain in the devastating loss of her husband, we are hoping that giving her back her mobility and independence will raise her spirits.
I need suggestions for a reputable prosthetist who will be able to fit her and to follow her. She lives in Bradford, PA and I am hoping someone sees patients in that area or close by.
She is thin, fit, and very active both in and outdoors. She is a K3 and an excellent MPK candidate. She has Medicare though, being an auto accident, this may be billed through auto insurance.
Please let me know of anyone who can assist her and I will forward that information to her son.

Thank You,

Anne L. Du Bois, CPO, LPO
