My name is Gayle and I am the head screenwriter for Challenge from the
Heart. The Donna Garze Story. Currently, we have a three and a half minute
video up on You Tube that I will provide the link for at the end of this
email for your convenience.

A brief overview:

It all started back in 1974 with a simple fall on the floor while working in
a supermarket at the age of 21. This simple fall would eventually lead to
over 60 operations due to being misdiagnosed, a broken marriage, alcohol and
drug addiction, the loss of all faith and the will to live, suicide
attempts, and eventually...the amputation of her left leg in 1986. She
herself told the doctor she wanted the leg gone when late one night in her
hospital bed she saw a vision and heard a voice tell her I'm not ready for
you yet. I have things for you to do, but I do want a part of you. How does
golf come into play? A while later, a friend simply wanted to get her out of
the house. On a whim, he told her they were going to a driving range. Like
what??? A driving range?? For some reason, he wouldn't take no for an
answer. At first she had a lot of trouble balancing with an artificial leg,
but really did enjoy herself and eventually signed up for a Free learn to
golf clinic...mostly for rehab. Well, to summarize...although still in
pain...golf changed her life. Donna rose to become the second top amputee
golfer on the circuit and today continues to golf and is a motivational
speaker and serves as a support system for other amputees. Since flushing
down the toilet her drugs in 1994 with her father videotaping her, she vowed
to never again take another drug and to get her life back together and that
she did.

I wanted to share this with you in hope that it could help others find the
courage and strength that they need to survive, and hopefully, to live by
Donna's motto which is one of my personal favorites.I like to think of
myself not as handicapped.but hand-i-capable.capable of handling anything.

Myself, Donna, and our other co-creator, Judy Martini, continue to push to
make Donna's dream of seeing her life story as a movie turn to reality. It's
been 18 long years but we continue the fight and will stick with her.

We would be so grateful if you could kindly watch the video and share it
with others. Please know that you certainly have our permission should you
desire to post the link anywhere. Donna loves to help others and our other
goal is that her story, through this promo, will do just that.

Thank you for all that you do!

Sincerely, Gayle
