I have what is probably an uncommon problem. One of my clients is a young woman with a PFFD (LDFP) type limb. She absolutely hated the use of waist belts, TES or otherwise, so we went to using a locking liner with a lanyard even though it results in lowering her knee center well below the anatomical position.

The problem stems from the fact that the distal end of her limb is quite small. She wears a 16cm liner. In the past she used Alpha liners, but the gel would tear and crumble just proximal to the umbrella too quickly. As an alternative we moved to the Ossur Upper-X liner. The 2mm silicone seems to hold up ok but the umbrella will pull off of the liner fabric. Not entirely surprising since it was designed to hold on an arm, not a leg.

My question to the list is are you aware of any suspension liners, available in a 16cm size, that might prove more durable on an active young woman? Her prosthesis consists of a four-bar friction knee and a dynamic response foot, so the actually weight to be suspended is relatively minimal.
