I am writing to request funding support for our organization to support Afghans with disabilities.
Our Organization is called Development and Ability Organization (DAO). DAO works through Radio and TV programs for people with disabilities, publishes a bimonthly disability publication called Gadoon published in 3 languages (Pashto, Dari and English), provides capacity building training to Government officials, persons with disabilities, provides physical rehabilitation services by producing artificial limbs for persons with disabilities, Civic Engagement Program to build the capacity of the Afghan civil Society organizations (CSO's) and NGO's so that they could independently monitor the government activities and has assisted in the development of the national disability terminology in Afghanistan.
DAO is currently running a physical rehabilitation center in Kunar providing rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities from Kunar and Nuristan. For this clinic we need a partnership with international and donor agencies in order to be able to continue these important services for the provision of physical rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities. A project proposal and support letters from the Ministry of Public Health, Provincial directorate of Publichealth and appreciation letter from the Ministry of Economy are attached. In case you are unable to assist then I would like to request you to kindly forward this email to other entities or individuals who might be able to assist us for which I will be very thankful to you.
