Okay guys,
I have received 12 responses asking for my responses. Haha. I think we all have work to do on this subject. If anyone has an answer, please respond to the whole list. This must be a subject that we all need insight into. Thanks to all involved!
The question is what are the current specifics in billing a Medicare patient that now resides in a nursing home. Here is what I think I know:
* The patient must have been in the facility for 110 day period without interruption.
* They must be covered under a part B Stay.
* We must change the Place of Service to 31.
Any other information or a firm confirmation would be appreciated.
