Hello Everyone,

I will be heading to the Dominican Republic again next month.

I am in need of a few parts. I have 3 hip disartics that we are making legs
for in the lab there. We need these hip joints if anyone has any laying
around, collecting dust.

We also need a few knee joints. We have 5 very high functioning, young
(18-34 year old) above knee amputees. Any good knee joints would be
GREATLY appreciated.

Also, if anyone has some feet to find a good place for them, we can use
those as well.

This organization Prosthetic Limbs for the Dominican Republic just
celebrated its 10th Anniversary. We looked over the list of amputees that
we have made limbs for, I was in the DR in February, and we counted over 500
amputees who have gotten limbs through this organization.

The local PBS station did a special report on me and this organization,
which was broadcast across the state of Indiana. They did a great job of
editing this and producing a very nice video.

Here's a link to the video if anyone is interested in seeing it:

I want to express a thanks to all those who have donated parts and
components over the past 10 years. I have gotten a lot of nice parts over
the past few years. I really appreciate that, and so do these amputees in
the Dominican Republic.

Thanks,

Jim DeWees, CP
