I've had a few requests to post responses. One interesting reply from a
respected professional in Mexico raised a concern about donated items being
sold to patients in his country. I would certainly investigate thoroughly,
any organization or individual before sending anything. If you see
anything in the list that requires more contact information, let me know
and I will provide directly. Following are the responses:
You can send it to COTA (children's of the Americas). They have
program in Guatemala. The next team trip is in
January 2015. You can check their web page if you want

Hola
Not to México there are some profesional people looking for donations in
order to sell them in our country
I just moved back to India after practicing in US for the last 8 years. I
have my own clinic here but I also do volunteer at some local NGO's. I am
looking for some DAFO samples and some joint samples to show my patients as
well as to sponsors what we can do for pediatric CP patients. If you have
unused Dafo's then I can probably fit them to non affordable patients in
the rural areas where I do camps. It will be a great help if I can get
some samples or used braces from you. I will take care of the shipping.
Please let me know. <Email Address Redacted>
You may send them to me for I assist a local non profit and a non profit
surgical
center in Ecuador which items are hand carried each trip due to costs of
shipment.
check out www.baysidemedicalmissions.org for the Ecuador location.
Contact me as needed
Thanks

We have a clinic in Haiti and could use a few pediatric devices. The only
caveat is they need to be new or nearly new and need nothing more than
perhaps new straps. The clinic staff there is limited.
