Thank to everyone who responded!
I feel much better knowing that the profession seemed to give the response that I was hoping for which was the honest one!
All responses were stating that everyone does what is medically necessary and not replacing the socket if it doesn't need it.
I appreciate the help from those who explained how they have billed the knee without the socket without any more issues than we are normally facing.
My question was asked because I had a friend ask about how to bill for just the knee and if it was any more of a red flag. My assumption was no and that do the honest thing and only replace what's needed and it shouldn't be any big deal. And it seems as though that is the consensus from the responses is that it is not an issue to replace just the necessary knee.
Thank you everyone for the time and confirmation!
