Does anyone have a recommendation for a good depth work boot (6) with a
composite toe. Pt is still working 12 hour shifts. Here is the gist of
the responses.
PW Minor has the Boss ST as well as a few other designs. Hercules ST and
Sampson ST, and Foreman ST.
Dr Comfort has the protector with a steel toe. However, in my opinion,
these shoes do not have tons of depth when compared to others.
Try APIS/Mt Emey or PW Minor
davmar at davmarshoes.com has a wolverine Harrison boot that is available
in a steel-toe. not sure if the steel will work for you and I don't know
about PDAC status if you need it for an A5500 but I am not sure you could
afford to bill using the A5500 while accepting assignment. It is the only
option I know of.
Many of our patients have had luck with Red Wing boots. They are not
A5500 approved depth shoewear but they do have a good
thick removable insole.
Try Portofino.
All helpful comments. Thanks.
Hindsight being what it is, I should have tried the Redwings because his
union would have bought them. Client choose Protector. I will follow up if
fitting is an issue.
