We are treating a young lady 22 years old with *Severe Spina Bifida and
a 90 degree Lordotic curve.* She has not worn any HKAFO for over 12
years due to the hassle of brace adjustments, Orthotist appts. and the
difficulty wearing the braces. She has a lot of low back pain...no
kidding. I definitely think she needs a TLSO for support and maybe the
HKAFO attached. She has severe hip dysplasia, poor lower trunk and lower
leg sensation and severe lower limb weakness. She wants to walk and
live with less pain. We have not worked with such a severe case in many
years and would appreciate any help with suggestions.

-Casting position for the TLSO? Casting standing not possible. Chick
Casting table or laying flat and log rolling?
-TLSHKAFO? or LSHKAFO?

We will post responses. Thank you for any suggestions.
