Hello list,
I am interested to see if everyone else is running into the issue with
Medicare denying test sockets on AK and BK claims. We are seeing this
across the board on all prosthetics. Whether it is 1 test socket or 2. I
understand that they want to be sure we are providing these, and understand
maybe looking into 2 test sockets, but come one, denying them every time.
Who fits a socket without a test socket? They established the code for a
reason. Now we spend hours trying to fight to get paid for a code that we
really don't make any money on in the first place and it eats up time and
dollars in administrative time.
Sorry to vent, but I am really curious to hear if others are receiving these
frequent non-payments as well.
Regards,
Jeff Boonstra CP
