Here are some of the replies I got, please let me know if you had something
to add and thank you all for the input.

I will be going with a custom SACH foot and ankle motion unit.

1) Hi Michael,
2 inch heels on an AK is not a good idea!
As a Prosthetist you do everything possible to keep your clients safe and
stable..... then add an unstable shoe under it? The patient is asking for
trouble if they insist on it.

2)Because of the short lever arms provided by the high heel shoe. Your
best bet is a kingsly sach foot for high heels and a ferrier coupler. In
my experience.

3)I have used a mauch with elation foot. Worked well for my patient. Before
the mauch she was using a 3r60 with the elation.
4)Dear Michael, The Elation Foot by Ossur could be an option, it leaves you
the option to change the heel height.

5) Only thing I've found to work is a sach foot made for a high heel last.
The adjustable height feet don't accommodate the shape of the shoe last.
I've done one for an AK and one for a BK. let me know if you have any
other questions.

6)Hi Mike, A few years back I fabbed a prosthesis for a lady visiting from
India and she wore high heels too. At that time I was able to purchase a
high heel prosthetic SACH foot from Bock. It was like the worn one she was
wearing and I got the part number from that foot. The foot was only
marketed in Europe if I remember correctly but they were able to deliver
one for this particular job.
Good luck.

7) Over the years I have fit a number of TF amputees for high heel shoes
from mechanical knees to a C-leg. I used the Kingsley Hi Style foot. There
were no special components, training, or alignment. They did have prior
experience wearing high heels. Most found walking on high heels easier than
walking on a low heel shoes. I did custom fit the foot to the shoe.

8)Hi Mike, I trust that you are doing well! Your TF patient isn't alone in
their desire to be able to make custom settings for their foot / ankle
componentry... The Fillauer Raize© Microprocessor Foot Ankle system allows
the wearer to adjust the heel height, adjustable DF / PF range and
resistance and even lock the ankle, via a key fob during their ADL. The
average build height is 3.5 (9cm). here is the link to the spec page if
you are not familiar. <URL Redacted>.
html . I hope this info helps you to make your decision as to the most
appropriate componentry for your patients.
