O&P Colleagues,
We need your help!!!
You have seen the recent posts regarding HB 1161 in Texas, that provides an
exemption for ANY person to fit ANY orthosis, thereby undermining licensure
and protection of patients. This will not stop in Texas!!!
We are engaging in an organized and targeted fashion in an attempt to
defeat HB 1161/SB 505. HB 1161 is pending in the House Public Health
Committee and SB 505, which has already passed Senate Health & Human
Services Committee, will soon be pending the same House Committee.
Please use this link,
<URL Redacted>, and sign
the petition in opposition of HB 1161. This is the second petition focused
on HB 1161, the first petition has already closed and received over 1200
signatures. Add yours today!!!
