I want opinions on our options for the following scenario - When we see
a patient at an SNF, and the SNF informs us that the patient is in PART
B, we continue our care with the patient. We bill the claim to Medicare
and Medicare denies because the patient was in Part A and that the SNF
(OA-109) is responsible for payment. We contact the SNF and they say
they will not pay for the device. What action can we take to get payment
for the services rendered? Can we take the device back from the patient,
and re-deliver when he is in Part B? Or can we legally get payment from
SNF?
Thank you
