I am just curious to see what many colleagues are using for thermoplastic ankle joints. We use, like most facilities I assume, tamarack ankle joints for most standard free flex AFOs with PF stops. What I am looking for is a recommendation for a joint that will allow me to adjust for almost any degree of stop both in dorsiflexion and in plantarflexion. The target patient population if for this use is Spina Bifida. I would like to able to allow certain ranges of motion and/or be able to make the ankle joint function as a solid ankle. I can use this in order to account for the changes in stance due to GRF that I cannot duplicate without weight bearing. Please send me any and all recommendations for use. I have used the ADR joints made by ultraflex quite often but I would like to have another option for this population.
