Good afternoon,
We have a unilateral transhumeral (very short) amputee who exercises a lot but requires a device to assist him in the plank core stability exercise. Does anybody have experience of producing or ideas on how to produce a device that provides adequate support to the shoulder on the prosthetic side but does not cause excessive or painful pressure to the chest or shoulder joint. The device must give enough support but not cause rotation or a symmetry in the spine.
Also does anybody know of safe and effective core stability exercises for transhumeral amputees to perform at home or in the gym.
Thanks,
Alastair Hall,
