Hi everyone. Does anyone have experience with a right transhumeral
amputee who wishes to drive a transport? Our patient tells us the seat
is an air cushioned seat and so his torso will have a vertical
displacement of between 8-10 while driving and so the elbow would have
to stay unlocked to manage his changing height. This is not an option
though since he needs to be able to grasp the stick. Is there any sort
of a piston-like, telescoping terminal device available for this
situation?
I look forward to hearing your ideas. Thanks! (from a non-truck driving
prosthetist!)
