Hi list:
I am looking to hear of anyone's experience with transtibial patients who increase in residual limb volume when they travel from a cooler climate to a warmer one. Typically they start out with a good sized socket (ie 0-2 ply fit at home).
I have a few patients who have to deal with an increasing volume size over a short period of time. I am wondering if it is not necessarily climate and location (ie altitute, humidity, heat) or if it more lifestyle, eating differently or drinking more then usual.
Thanks, I'll post answers unless asked to keep them confidential.
