Hello List,
I am searching for a carbon plate that I can use to fabricate a foot for a cho prosthesis. I plan to have a floor reaction style socket with a thin carbon plate laminated to the bottom. I intended to use Ossur's Chopart foot but, it is back ordered for several weeks. The individual is 6'7, 265 lbs, wears a size 16 shoe and hopes to remain very active with his 3 young boys.
Does anyone have an alternative to the Ossur plate that they would recommend? I know Otto Bock makes a similar plate, but I recall it being much thicker. I am concerned about getting too thick and creating a large leg length discrepency.
Thank you in advance,
Mike Hansen, CPO
