We have an out of state client who resides in New York City. Her employer is moving to a new health insurance policy with United Health Care. This policy has a three year cap of $5000.00 for O&P expenses. Additional dollars can be approved if they are medically necessary.
This is a new one for us. Does anyone have experience with this type of plan and can you help us understand what will qualify as medically necessary? My client is worried and based upon my previous dealings with UHC I'm afraid she has good reason to be. If you prefer not to put your response in writing you can call and speak with myself or Alice at 888-267-8833.
Thank you in advance
