The Cambodia Trust, a UK based NGO, working in partnership with the
University of the East, Ramon, Manila, Philippines
Is recruiting an experienced Prosthetics Orthotics Technician (ISPO Category
III or equivalent) to establish the first formal education for P&O
technicians in Asia.
This exciting opportunity will also involve teaching the technical skills to
Category II P&O students, and at the same time, training counterparts, as
permanent trainers at the University.
The successful candidate will be experienced in Prosthetics and Orthotics
technical work, in all devices, and will have a broad range of skills in
workshop management, stock control, logistics, health and safety, and some
exposure to mentoring a training. Some experience of working in developing
countries is desirable.
The post, is for a minimum of two years and is competitively salaried. It
comes with full medical insurance, generous annual leave.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and adventurous technician
to take part in a brand new school, that will establish the profession of
P&O in the Philippines. The school is part of a network of schools, managed
by The Cambodia Trust and is well supported and resourced by a committed
donor.
