We're considering using a scanning system (Digital Gait System or similar) for assessment and impressions for foot orthoses. If you are currently or ever have used a system like this, I'm interested in hearing your experience. Is it a valid/reliable way of determining foot and gait pathologies? Have you been satisfied with the fit and function of orthoses made from these scans? Are there significant cost and time savings compared to taking and shipping foam box impressions?

Any input is appreciated.
