After reading a story about a marine who opted to wear a hook rather than a
prosthetic, my son's 6th grade, Lego robotic team decided to research issues
with upper extremity prosthetics. They have found that comfort,
functionality, cost, insurance coverage, and lack of customization are all
factors.
In your expert opinion, what are the main issues facing upper extremity
amputees? What are possible solutions?
Please know that I greatly appreciate any feedback as a volunteer coach in
way over her head with a group of very intelligent, 6th grade boys.
I realize that you are busy with real patients, but please know that any
feedback is greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
