Hi List,

I have a patient who has lost her thumb, fourth and fifth digits on her Right hand (dominant). Her 2nd and 3rd digits are not fully functional, they are rigid in the flexed position and there is limited motion at the MCP joint. Because she has lack of motion with the 2nd digit, she is looking for a prosthesis that has a functioning thumb so that she can have some prehension ability.

Has anyone dealt with this type of amputation before? Through some research I saw a Robins-aid mechanical hand for partial hand amputees, but I do not know if they still manufacture this product.

Thanks ahead for your responses.
