Dear fellows ,

we've been asked to develop an orthoses for a unique case.A hemipelvictomy due to a tumour , without amputation of the limb. The whole iliac crest was removed together with the acetabulum , but the whole femur and lower limb were preserved. The patient is deambulating with a pair of crutches and more active and independent each day.His phisician wants a OTLS with a KAFO with RGO hip joints ( more strong ) , but as we don't have any kind of support on the lower leg , we are afraid of the collapse of the hip joint.

Any experiences or sugesttions?

I would like to thank you in advance.
