Dear Peter,
Thanks for your email. The ICRC is an international NGOs but we are the national one to starts our services. I think every one has the right to serve the PWDs with the potential/services what they have. We know it that ICRC has started the training programe in P&O, its important in its own place, as our friend Mr Alberto has wrote that our curriculum has been approved by MOPH but as far as i know there is no expertriate in P&O in MOPH disability unit.
Let,s think positively and work togather for the P&O profession and aviod imature action in this regards,
Director
M. Hameedi (Prosthetist Orthotist).

Mr M Hameedi,
We have read your message where you invite the humanitarian organisations to support your training project.
You mention that AOTC is the only local training center in Afghanistan.
Allow us to say that your information is not correct, as in Kabul there is already the Afghan School of Prosthetics and Orthotics (ADPO), a well established school belonging to the
Ministry of Public Health - IHS and supported by the ICRC. The teaching curriculum has been approved by the MOPH and the ADPO is the process of receiving the ISPO recognition.
The ADPO three year course is presently attended by 22 students. 17 of them are persons with disability, 10 are women.
We think that your potential donors should know it.
Anyone is welcome to visit the school
Regards,
Alberto Cairo
