The patient is about 65 years old and is a bilat BK amputee. In the past he
has been a difficult fit for other practitioners. He is average length but
with a fair amount of redundant tissue on both legs. His old prostheses
consist of ossur locking liners for suspension which he seemed to have no
problem with. After numerous weeks correcting simple issues he seemed to be
doing good but in the past few days he has developed a a lot of sensitivity
distally and the skin is inflamed and broken in one spot. I have checked
the length and it seems good. I keep thinking is is tightness, looseness,
or a milking effect from the pin suspension. Most of the skin affected in
on the very bottom. I thought about removing the pins and trying sleeves
for suspension. Thanks
