Thanks to all that responded so quickly to this request for a high buffer polisher for metal work in the orthotic lab. Unanimously, it was a Baldor?buffer, preferably in the 220V with 12 buffing wheel and a 1 1/2 to 2 HP motor. The reason for the 220 was it polished faster. Below are the responses. Again, Thanks to all.

Baldor makes buffers. Harbor freight has some cheapies it just depends
on how much you are going to use it.

Caswell also carries Baldor buffers which?are top of the line quality in power and durability, but I think the guys in the following link?have them beat hands down on price, selection,?speeds and horsepower?for all Baldor buffers, grinders, and pedestals.

Baldor makes a twin shaft motor to which you can attach buffing wheels.? I have one for over twenty years, using 12 rag wheels.? One side is for the course rouge and the other for the fine.? Expensive but top of line.

I have always been a fan of Baldor products. If you do a search for Baldor Buffer you will probably find what you need. Here is a place that I saw. There is also always ebay. You might luck out and find something reasonable.?

Try to find one with a 1.75 to 2 horse Baldor motor.
I have found used equipment on the Internet.
Browse the polishing equipment and it will usually have a used equipment link.

This is Rudy Becker from Becker Orthopedic and we polish a lot of metal here. We generally use Baldor buffing machines like the one in this link:?

They need to have hoods as well. If you have specific questions I can put you in touch with one of our engineers to give you all the stats.

Thank you all again.
