Hi everyone,
I just had a new eval walk in who seems to be a very challenging case. He is a 23 y/o male who was hit by a vehicle while walking to school. He is a R AK amputee however I am not sure yet if he is a KD until I speak to his doctor. He can tolerate minimal pressure on his distal end which leads me to believe he is not a KD or even if so will need to take his weight proximally.. anyway this young man is 6'0'' and claims to be at least 385(our scale doesnt go high enough) pounds. His leg measures 36'' to 37'' in circumference with as you could imagine very soft tissue. I am curious to know what components I could fit him with and any ideas or strategies in help designing this socket.. anything will help, thanks for your time.
