For those of you who knew Craig Gorham I'm very sorry to pass along the
news of his passing. He left us far too early. Craig was an
outstanding man, a most dedicated father, a strong friend, and an
excellent prosthetist and mentor. Please see the following obituary.

Craig R. Gorham, Roscoe, IL

Craig R. Gorham, 48, of Roscoe, died at 2:20 P.M. Monday, August 4,
2008, in Swedish American Hospital following a lengthy, courageous
battle with cancer. Craig was born in Belvidere on January 23, 1960, the
son of Walter F. and Audrey M. Anderson Gorham. Growing up in Belvidere,
he was a 1978 graduate of Belvidere High School and on February 21,
1981, Craig married Barbara G. Schulze in Rockford. He received his
associate degree from Rock Valley College and his certificate for
prosthetics from Northwestern University, Chicago. A certified
prosthetist, he was employed over 25 years by Northern Prosthetics and
Orthopedics Co. Craig held memberships in American Orthopedic and
Prosthetic Association, the American Board for Certification, and was a
Fellow of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. He was
also a longtime member of the Oldsmobile Club of America and the
Illinois Valley Oldsmobile Club.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; daughters Regina B., of Chicago,
and Kirsten M. and Monika L. of Roscoe; his father, Walter of Belvidere;
sister Janice (Mike) Ziebka of Charleston, IL; brothers Jason (Michelle)
Gorham of Rockford, and Donald (Liz) Gorham of Rockton; his in-laws,
Herbert and Tilli Schulze, Belvidere, and Erich and Pam Schulze,
Rockford; and two nephews and four nieces. He was preceded in death by
his mother, Audrey, in 1989.
