--I saw your post on the oandp.com list serve about a knee for a 325 lb
knee disartic patient. I just wanted to let you know that we carry the
Bauerfeind JT20 knee. It’s a 4 bar knee that is designed for K2 and
K3 patients and it’s weight rated up to 330 lbs.

--we here at Endolite have a strong 4 bar knee, with Hydraulic SNS
unit, both tried and tested to a weight limit of 320lbs, the KXO6, and
we know this unit will withstand far and above this, were also able to
give you the opportunity to try this on your patient for 60 days, the
unit comes with a three year warranty on all parts and we offer a very
good exchange program to reduce the time your patient could be without a
working limb, noted to be the best in the industry.

--I am a 350 lb long Transfemoral and I have had no problems with my
BlackMax short with Mauch unit. I am quite active and have not had any
problems with the knee unit what so ever since I have received it back
in April of 2006.
--Otto Bock will upgrade much of their 220 lb. componentry to 330 lb.
if they assemble all the components themselves.
--Not many options with that weight. Try the Mauch Plus from Ossur with
the
through knee lamination bracket from USMC. The knee will bolt directly
to
the lamination bracket. Not sure of the exact conversion but the knee
can
take 166 kg. [365.2 lbs]
--The only knee I know over 300 is the Trulife/Seattle Limb ProSport
SNS that
goes to 350.
--I have put HD/FL 3 of that weight on the beefed up Total Knee. Great
clearance. Patient even does some kneeling at work in a meat packing
plant with it. Knee has held up. Fabrication is everything on this
though. My tech and I really had to spend sometime thinking about the
layup because of the bulk around the knee.
