a colleague of mine has been asked to work with a patient - mid 50's, heavy,
bilat transfemoral, short residual limbs, has never had prostheses, just
wants to stand for transfers & minimal stepping (to be out of chair) - seems
motivated with realistic goals

pls share any successes, failures, advice on components

* aggressive upper body PT ASAP
?manual unlocking knees
?bilat belt suspension
?quad brim sockets
?single axis feet
