Does your practice routinely fabricate devices before receiving the authorization from the insurance company? What do you do to prevent them from being delivered by accident before the authorization is received? If you do, are you confident that you will be approved anyway or do you have to wait so long for approval that when you do get them you want to be ready to deliver quickly once the approval arrives?
I would appreciate any feedback as we struggle with this question especially on Medicaid auths that can take 8-10 weeks.
Thank you for your feedback.
