With just two weeks to go on 2007 I want to make one last request
that those of us who have been well treated by this profession return
the favor by investing a small amount in it's future and in the
preservation of it's past.
I posted earlier this year to ask all to consider supporting our
schools with a donation. It's time to stop considering it, and make
that donation.
My alma mater makes this easy with an on-line donation form.

The Orthotics / Prosthetics Training Fund is the fourth option down.
Charles King's recent plea for donations to the Orthotic and
Prosthetic Virtual Library supports the creation of a free
information resource for everyone in O&P. The Orthotic and
Prosthetic Virtual Library is a part of the Digital Resource
Foundation for the O&P Community (DRFOP). The DRFOP is a 501(c)3 non
profit organization and as such your donations are tax
deductible. They also offer easy online donation.

The DRFOP is a volunteer staffed project created by the folks who
bring you oandp-l. We can all agree that this listserv is a valuable
resource to the entire profession. If each of the subscribers were
to donate just $10 a year the DRFOP could hire help to digitize an
enormous portion of the known historical publications in O&P. The
same could be accomplished if just every other person sent in $20.00,
so don't hesitate to give a little extra to cover for the other guy.
I personally have made donations to both the UW O&P Training Fund and
the DRFOP. I ask that you do the same. Any amount helps but it
feels better to be generous.
