Hi All,

I have an active 40yr old bilateral congenital symes amputee who is looking
at replacing a very old pair of skiing prostheses. Normally this is fairly
straight forward and not worth bothering the members of this list. When he
first got the current prostheses he was a young single guy and walking with
legs aligned for skiing, though awkward, was not a major issue. However, he
now has a young family which means he has to lug kiddie stuff from the
chalet to the car and back as well as chase after the kids every now and
then and the awkward gait has become a problem. He wants to know if there's
a way to have a set-up that would permit skiing and walking.

My question to this group is: Has anyone else encountered this situation and
what did you do to resolve it?

This individual would also like to keep the gadgetry to a minimum and
doesn't want to have to change legs in the chalet or on the hill.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
